Elara Laundry Co.

The services provided by Elara Laundry Co. (“Company”) are subject to your (“Customer”) acceptance of the terms and conditions outlined below. By using our services, you agree to be bound by this agreement.


1. Service Scope & Non-Accepted Items

What We Accept

Elara Laundry Co. provides wash, dry, and fold services for everyday household laundry, including clothing, towels, and linens suitable for standard machine washing and drying.

Items We’re Unable to Process

To maintain quality and protect all customers’ laundry, we are unable to process certain items, including:

  • Pet beds and pet blankets. Clothing or household items containing excessive pet hair may be accepted but may be subject to additional cleaning fees if extra wash cycles are required.
  • Items heavily soiled with bodily fluids (e.g., urine, feces, vomit)
  • Items with mold, mildew, or strong persistent odors
  • Items exposed to hazardous chemicals or substances
  • Items infested with pests (e.g., bed bugs, fleas)
  • Items requiring specialty care (e.g., dry cleaning, hand wash, air dry)

If These Items Are Included

If any non-accepted items are included in your order:

  • The affected item(s) will be returned unprocessed
  • A $15 handling fee will be applied
  • The remainder of the order will be processed as normal when possible

Customers are responsible for ensuring their items meet these guidelines prior to pickup.


2. Garment Care & Service Standards

Elara Laundry Co. uses industry-standard processes to wash, dry, and fold garments with care and consistency.

Items are accepted based on weight, not individual count, except for fixed-price or specialty items.

Items are processed according to standard wash, dry, and fold procedures, and individual manufacturer care instructions may not be followed.

We are not responsible for:

  • Normal wear and tear, shrinkage, fading, or fabric deterioration
  • Pre-existing damage or weakened fabrics
  • Inability to remove all stains
  • Damage resulting from standard machine washing and drying processes

We reserve the right to refuse any item deemed unsuitable for processing.


3. Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for:

  • Checking all pockets and removing personal belongings
  • Ensuring items are machine washable and dryer-safe
  • Assessing whether garments can withstand standard laundering

Elara Laundry Co. is not responsible for damage caused by items left in garments, including but not limited to pens, cosmetics, gum, electronics, or other personal belongings.

If a garment carries a high risk of damage, it should not be included in the order.


4. Claims

Any claims for lost or damaged items must be submitted within five (5) business days of delivery.

Claims must include:

  • Order details
  • Description of the issue
  • Photos when applicable

Failure to report a claim within this timeframe constitutes a waiver of the claim.


5. Allergy & Sensitivity Disclaimer

Elara Laundry Co. uses shared commercial-grade equipment.

While customers may select preferred detergent options when available, complete isolation from other detergents, fragrances, or residues cannot be guaranteed.

By using our services, Customers acknowledge and accept that:

  • Trace amounts of detergents, fragrances, or allergens may be present
  • Elara Laundry Co. is not responsible for allergic reactions, skin sensitivities, or related outcomes

Customers with severe allergies or sensitivities use the service at their own risk.


6. Liability Limitations

Elara Laundry Co.’s maximum liability for any claim related to loss or damage shall not exceed ten (10) times the service charge for the affected item, up to a maximum of $50 per item, unless otherwise required by law.

Elara Laundry Co. does not guarantee replacement value for garments or personal items.

We are not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Loss of use
  • Sentimental value
  • Delays outside of our reasonable control

This limitation applies regardless of the form of claim.


7. Elara Customer Care Commitment

We are committed to delivering a reliable, high-quality experience.

7.1 Clean, Ready-to-Wear Laundry

Items are returned clean, neatly folded, and ready to use.

7.2 Professional Standards

We use quality equipment and consistent procedures to provide dependable results.

7.3 Re-Cleaning Guarantee

If you are not satisfied with the quality of cleaning, we will re-clean eligible items at no additional cost if notified within five (5) business days of delivery.

7.4 Lost or Damaged Items

In the rare event of verified loss or damage, reimbursement will be handled in accordance with the liability limitations outlined in Section 6.

Proof of value may be requested.

7.5 Exclusions

This commitment does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Delicate or non-machine-safe items
  • Damage caused by items left in garments
  • Non-accepted items outlined in Section 1

7.6 Communication

We prioritize transparency and will communicate any concerns identified prior to processing whenever reasonably possible.


8. Scheduling, Pickup & Delivery

Customers are responsible for selecting an available service window.

Elara Laundry Co. will make reasonable efforts to meet scheduled pickup and delivery windows but does not guarantee exact timing.

Turnaround times may vary due to weather, traffic, holidays, equipment issues, order volume, or other circumstances outside our control.

Missed or unavailable pickups may require rescheduling.


9. Payments & Fees

Payment is processed upon completion of service unless otherwise stated.

By using our services, Customers authorize Elara Laundry Co. to charge the payment method on file for completed services, applicable fees, and approved additional charges.

Additional fees may apply for:

  • Non-accepted items ($15 handling fee)
  • Heavily soiled items requiring additional wash cycles may incur an added surcharge of $0.50 per pound or $10 per item.
  • Specialty or bulky items

For the purposes of these Terms, "heavily soiled items" include, but are not limited to, items containing excessive dirt, mud, sand, grease, strong odors, excessive pet hair, or other conditions requiring additional cleaning beyond our standard wash process. Elara Laundry Co. reserves the right to determine when additional wash cycles are necessary.

Whenever reasonably possible, Customers will be notified before additional charges are applied


10. Unclaimed Orders

Orders not claimed or scheduled for redelivery within thirty (30) days of notification may be donated, discarded, or otherwise disposed of at the Company’s discretion.


11. Marketing Communications

By using our services, Customers agree to receive occasional service-related and promotional communications from Elara Laundry Co.

Customers may opt out of promotional communications at any time.


12. Entire Agreement & Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions represent the full agreement between Elara Laundry Co. and the Customer.

This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida.


Acknowledgment

By using Elara Laundry Co.’s services, Customers acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
